IT System Developer

We are seeking an IT System Developer who will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our production network and system infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate closely with AI engineers and IT/OT operators to set up and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable systems. Your focus will include network architecture, containerization, and system security, ensuring smooth operations in production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage networking architectures for production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and configure Docker containers to link together microservices, jump data across air gaps, etc.
• Analyze and enhance system security, ensuring best practices for both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Collaborate with our DevOps team to automate provisioning the infrastructure you design.
• Collaborate with AI and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of system architecture with AI-driven workflows and applications.
• Maintain and optimize system availability, performance, and security across all production environments.
• Continuously improve network and system architecture to support the growing demands of our AI applications and production workflows.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and maintain best practices in data protection and system integrity.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building robust, secure systems and eager to contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

• Solid understanding of networking architectures and protocols. Experience designing and managing production network environments is a big plus.
• Proficiency in containerization tools and experience developing, configuring, and maintaining containerized applications.
• Experience writing and integrating APIs, with a strong grasp of interfacing between systems and services.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automating tasks, setting up environments, and managing systems.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, including system hardening, network security, and compliance in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services, such as EC2, S3, or Virtual Networks, with a focus on system infrastructure and networking.
• Skilled in managing and troubleshooting production systems, ensuring availability, performance, and security in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus) to detect and respond to network or system issues.
• Basic familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm) for managing containers across multiple nodes is a plus.
• Understanding of security tools like firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems, and knowledge of cloud security configurations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail, and an ability to optimize systems for performance and security.
